High speed guardrails are semi steel guardrails mainly used in the construction of safe and anti-collision projects such as highways, large parking lots, scenic spots, highways, provincial roads, and rural roads. It is composed of corrugated steel guardrail panels that are joined together and supported by columns to form a continuous structure. The design of high-speed guardrails aims to absorb collision energy through the deformation of soil foundations, columns, and beams, forcing out of control vehicles to change direction and return to normal driving direction, preventing vehicles from rushing out of the road, protecting vehicles and passengers, and reducing losses caused by accidents.
Classification and specifications of high-speed guardrails
High speed guardrails are divided into two types based on surface treatment: hot-dip galvanized corrugated guardrails and galvanized spray painted guardrails. According to the location of installation, it can be divided into roadside guardrails and median barriers. According to the collision prevention level, it can be divided into main products and S-level. Among them, S-level guardrails are reinforced and suitable for use on particularly dangerous roadside sections, while main products are used for one-on-one highways.
Characteristics and uses of high-speed guardrails
High speed guardrails have good visual guidance function, can coordinate with road alignment, have a beautiful appearance, can be used on small radius curves, and are easy to replace in damaged areas. Its structure is concise, beautiful and practical, easy to transport and install, with good anti-theft performance. It is less limited by actual terrain and has strong adaptability to mountainous, sloping, and multi curved areas. Its cost is moderate and suitable for large-scale use.
